Welcome to The Mexpatriate.

I’m writing this from Mexico City, where I’ve been dipping my toe into “La Semana del Arte” (stay tuned for more soon). Wandering through galleries and museums, I’ve been thinking about the importance of physicality; of bodies moving through space, of non-algorithmic encounters and of standing before a canvas or a sculpture or another tangible expression of human imagination, and not scrolling past it.

In today’s dispatch, I cover five arts + culture news items. If you have questions or comments, please email me at hola@themexpatriate.com.
