"Mexico should lead this conversation—from the perspective of ancestral medicine, not just from a focus on certain alkaloids. Yes, those are valuable, but for us, the conversation goes deeper: the mushroom is the medicine, in its entirety. What makes the mushroom powerful is the combination of all its alkaloids. That’s the technology: a key to the subconscious." What a giant step. Look forward to hearing how the legislation progresses.
Interesting article Kathleen but am disappointed by your approval of the current usa admin & Kennedy. While i totally agree that psychedelics need to be legalized & for some reason Kennedy may be supporting that, the damage he is doing to the rest of the health system is abominable
Also, I’d like to see more reporting to Mexico’s reaction to & affects on Mx fr the Trump chaos as well as the affect of that on Mx & Canada’s relationship to each other. Tx!
To clarify, I only wrote in the intro about Kennedy's public statements on psychedelics, and in the interview, Lagunes said she is "very hopeful" about what could happen in this administration regarding decriminalization, and said it could be a "game changer" (her words).
I have written about tariffs in a number of newsletters (most recently on March 9), but will surely be covering them more as the fallout continues...And thanks for the suggestion on exploring the Mexico-Canada relationship more in the current messy context, will add it to my list!
Tx , K, for Clarifying parts of the article regarding some comments i raised

I did not intend for this to come across as an approval or endorsement of Kennedy’s health care policies.
